CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) INFORMATION FOR OUR CLIENTS
Our practice remains open for individual appointments at the current time, as well as now offering telehealth and telephone appointments as an alternative to clinical psychology sessions in our rooms.
We would like to reassure you that we are working hard to keep you safe during your visit to our practice and we have implemented additional cleaning and hygiene practices, as recommended by the Australian Psychological Society and the Dept of Health.
If you prefer to access your appointment via telehealth video session or over the telephone as an alternative, we are pleased to offer these for many of our services. Medicare have recently made special provisions for Australians with Mental Health Care Plans from their GP to access psychological therapy via telehealth or telephone on a bulk billed basis (live video sessions with your therapist over your phone/tablet/PC).
Of course if you are unwell, have travelled overseas, or been in contact with the virus, please do not attend your appointment. In this case, please call us to postpone your session and discuss your needs.
As things are changing rapidly, we are regularly reviewing the Department of Health recommendations and policies advised by the Australian Psychological Society and will update this posted information if/when things change.
Finally, here is some helpful information on managing anxiety and emotion as we all work through these challenging times – APS Tips for coping with coronavirus anxiety
